Description
The Dovre Phoenix 4 black cast iron wood fireplace insert is a Dovre insert with 9 kW, designed to heat a volume of around 180 m³, which is nearly 72 m² with a 2.5 m ceiling height.
What surface area can it heat?
It is sized for a volume of around 180 m³, which corresponds to approximately 72 m² in a typical home. Its nominal power is 9 kW. The actual heated surface depends on the insulation of the dwelling and the air circulation between rooms.
What is its efficiency?
The declared efficiency is 80%, meaning the proportion of the fuel’s energy actually converted into heat. A high efficiency directly results in lower log consumption for the same comfort level.

Frequently asked questions

It is designed for a volume of around 180 m³, which is nearly 72 m² with a 2.5 m ceiling height. The result depends on the insulation of the dwelling and air circulation.
What fuel should be used?
This appliance runs on logs. Dry, quality fuel determines efficiency and limits soiling of the glass and flue pipe.
Is a professional needed for installation?
Yes. Connection to the flue pipe must be carried out by a qualified installer: this is a condition of the manufacturer’s warranty and your insurance coverage.
