Description
This Wittigsthal wood-fired water heater produces hot water for a bath or shower by burning logs, connectable to the pressurised water network.
What is this appliance for?
It is a wood-fired water heater: it heats the water for a bath or shower by burning logs, without electricity or gas connection. It does not heat the room and does not replace a stove: it is a hot water production appliance, used in garden sheds, chalets, saunas or anywhere hot water is lacking.
Pressurised or non-pressurised, what is the difference?
This model is designed to operate under pressure: it connects directly to the water network and can supply a mixer tap or shower. Installation requires a safety group, as with a conventional water heater. It also includes a heat exchanger, which separates the firebox water from the circuit water.
What should be planned for installation?
The flue outlet is 100 mm: the flue pipe must match this diameter. The firebox develops 7.5 kW, which determines the water heating speed. The appliance weighs 55 kg, so two people should be planned for installation. Like any appliance connected to a flue pipe, it requires a compliant flue and annual sweeping.

Frequently asked questions

No. A wood-fired water heater heats the water, not the air. To heat a room, a stove or fireplace insert is needed.
Can I connect it to mains water?
Yes, this model is designed for mains pressure. Installation requires a safety group, as with an electric water heater.
Is a flue pipe necessary?
Yes. The appliance burns wood and its flue outlet is 100 mm. It requires a compliant flue and annual sweeping.
