Description
This Wittigsthal wood-fired water heater produces hot water for a bath or shower by burning logs, with a 100-litre tank, in a non-pressurised version.
What is this appliance for?
It is a wood-fired water heater: it heats the water for a bath or shower by burning logs, without electricity or gas connection. Its tank holds 100 litres, enough to fill a bath. It does not heat the room and does not replace a stove: it is a hot water production appliance, used in garden sheds, chalets, saunas or anywhere hot sanitary water is lacking.
Non-pressurised or pressurised, what is the difference?
This model operates non-pressurised: the tank remains open to the air and empties by gravity when the tap is open. It is the simplest version to install but does not supply a pressurised network.
What should be planned for installation?
The flue outlet is 100 mm: the flue pipe must match this diameter. The firebox develops 7.5 kW, which determines the water heating speed. The appliance weighs 44 kg, so two people are recommended for installation. The "complete" version is supplied with its taps. Like any appliance connected to a flue pipe, it requires a compliant flue and annual sweeping.

Frequently asked questions
Does this appliance heat the room?
No. A wood-fired water heater heats water, not air. To heat a room, a stove or fireplace insert is needed.
Can I connect it to mains water?
No. This model operates non-pressurised: the tank remains open to the air. For connection to the network, a pressurised version is required.
How much water can it heat?
The tank holds 100 litres, enough to fill a bath.
Is a flue pipe required?
Yes. The appliance burns wood and its flue outlet is 100 mm. It requires a compliant flue and annual sweeping.
