With 9 kg of dry laundry per cycle, it meets the needs of a family of four to five people. The drying cycle accepts 9 kg, which is slightly less than washing: this is normal, as the laundry needs space to circulate.
What about consumption?
Most of a washing machine's consumption comes from heating the water: washing at 30 °C instead of 60 °C halves the energy use on most programmes, and is sufficient for lightly soiled laundry.
